💡 Why choose this solution?

Hey tilers, the Masterpiuma P5 Italica series in the 131 cm length is the ultimate weapon for large-format tiles. Forget about compromises and frame flexing under your hands. The cutter chassis is made from a single solid piece of pressure-die-cast aluminum, providing brutal structural rigidity while keeping a reasonable weight of 23 kg. The upgraded head slides along a 12mm steel bar on five sealed bearings, giving you absolute control and zero lateral play. The enlarged 18mm wheel with an internal bearing perfectly scores smooth porcelain gres as well as textured surfaces. For easy transport around the job site, the machine end features heavy-duty wheels. If you want to handle large formats without scrap or headaches, this Italian-engineered machine is the definitive choice.

🛠️ Professional FIELD TIP: Dry ceramic cutting produces an extremely fine and sharp dust that acts as an abrasive. Wipe down the guide rail with a dry cloth or blow it clean with air after every single day. The bearings are sealed – never apply WD-40 or other lubricants to the rail or head. Dust would settle in the oil, create a grinding paste, and ruin the smooth motion of the bearings. The bar must remain completely clean and dry.
🔍 Expert's Insight: At J&J Tile Design, we use this tile cutter to score meter-plus formats of porcelain tiles. Unlike shorter versions, we highly appreciate the adjustable ATLAS support system on the 131P5 model – the tiles stay perfectly level and the corners don't snap off during breaking. The dual-position folding breaker also lets you split tiles instantly at the end of the rail by simply pushing the handle forward without manually adjusting any mechanism. For delicate mosaic tiles, add the Mosakit 58 pad, and when encountering glass tiles, remember to drop the recommended oil (OIL) into the cutting head to refine the score line.
🤝 JJTD Guarantee: We aren't typical box-movers from a wholesale warehouse. If you are unsure whether the 131 cm length is right for your layout or which wheel to apply to a specific material, just give us a call. On our e-shop obchod.jjtd.cz, you talk to a professional tiler who operates this equipment daily on actual construction sites.
✅ Main Benefits
  • Monolithic Aluminum Frame: Single-piece casting absorbs impacts, eliminates material flex, and won't twist under load.
  • LCL Laser with USB-C: Visualizes the exact cutting path before the wheel touches the tile; features automatic 3-min shut-off.
  • ATLAS Support Blocks: Variable system functions as a spring-loaded bed or can be detached as external supports for heavy large formats.
  • Extendable Strip Guide: Allows fast, serial, and absolutely identical splitting of narrow tile bands.
  • Dual-Position Breaker: Saves time and movements – in the default position, you break automatically at the rail end by just pressing the handle.
⚠️ Things to watch out for
  • Thicknesses Over 15 mm (2cm gres): Although the design mechanically allows up to 2 cm, a manual cutter is insufficient long-term for 20mm heavy terrace tiles – risk of irregular fractures. Use a Montolit SCX diamond saw instead.
  • Ceramic Residues: The guide bar must be kept clean dry. Any application of liquid lubricants will ruin the motion and jam the bearings.
  • Cutting Wheel Lifespan: Once the score line in porcelain begins to skip or makes a jagged sound, replace it immediately with a new Montolit 248T bearing wheel to prevent ruined tiles.
🏆 Tested at J&J Tile Design: We deploy this 131cm cutter on jobs every single time we install large-format porcelain slabs where millimeters define the final look.

Questions from the Field (FAQ)

Why is a 131 cm length necessary and what is the maximum tile size for straight and diagonal cuts?
A straight clean rip cut handles lengths up to 131 cm, which matches today's standard 120 cm formats perfectly. If you score a tile diagonally, the table and square configuration allow you to insert and break a square tile up to a maximum size of 92 x 92 cm.
How exactly does the dual-position folding breaker save time?
It's a huge workflow improvement. In the default folded position, you never have to adjust the breaker. You score by pulling towards the ruler, roll the handle to the rubber guide stop where the wheel slips into the lowered bed over the square, and snap by applying downward force. You only unfold the breaker when cracking in the middle of the table – like splitting individual mosaic pieces or executing tricky angles.
Can I execute miter (jolly) 45-degree cuts using this cutter?
No, a clean 45° miter rodding cannot be achieved on any manual cutter; the thin tile enamel edge would chip under breaker pressure. To process flawless miter joints (jolly cuts), use an angle grinder fitted with a specialized Montolit CJ JOLLYMONT blade or a diamond VB M14 milling cone, both available right here in our store.
