E-SHOP QUESTIONS (FAQ)

E-shop and Service

How fast will my package arrive? (Fast Shipping) +
We don't wait around; we dispatch everything "fofrem" (lightning fast). If you order and pay by 9:00 AM, you’ll have your package by noon the next day. We know nobody waits on a construction site, so we really don't mess around.
How do discounts for registered users and B2B partners work? +
Everyone gets a discount here! Regular customers get them automatically through our loyalty program based on purchase history (3%, 5%, or up to 8%). For companies and tradesmen (ID/VAT), we have a special portal at b2b.jjtd.cz, where you’ll see your wholesale prices immediately after registration approval.
How can I pay? +
Don't look for Cash on Delivery here; we do things modern and fast. You can slam it in with an online card payment, classic bank transfer, or use a quick QR code payment. It's instant, and the package can fly out right away. Cash is only possible for personal pickup in Bohumín.
What if something arrives broken? (Complaints) +
It happens in the best of families because shipping is sometimes a wild ride. Don't worry, just write or call us and we’ll solve it immediately by sending a new piece. Just let us know ideally within 3 days of delivery.
The ideal scenario is to check the shipment upon receipt!!!
Can I return the goods if I made the wrong choice? +
Sure, as a consumer you have 14 days to return without giving a reason (does not apply to Companies). Goods must be clean and in original packaging. If the goods are unpacked or have damaged packaging, a fee of 20% of the purchase price for depreciation may be charged. You cover the return shipping costs.
Will you help me with the selection? Are you pros or just box-pushers? +
You bet! We aren't just box-pushers. We actually understand what we sell because we use it ourselves. If you don't know which blade to take or how to choose a button for under the tiling, just give us a ring at +420 773 841 488.

Adhesives and Chemistry

What is the fundamental difference between Vinyl Ester adhesives and classic epoxy when gluing Jolly edges? +
Vinyl ester adhesives (e.g., Titanium) are extremely fast (so-called "tacking"), used for quick fixation and have only 1% hardener ratio. Classic epoxies (e.g., Fix Top) are two-component (Part A+B), have a significantly longer working window and are used for the final visual filling of Jolly edges as they allow for precise smoothing.
How does ambient temperature (e.g., 15 °C vs. 30 °C) affect the working time of fast-drying adhesives? +
Temperature has a major impact on curing speed. At standard 25 °C, the working window is approx. 10 minutes. If the space is 30 °C, the time is significantly shortened; conversely, at 15 °C, the time you can work with the adhesive is extended.
Is Polyfast Running suitable for gluing reinforcements made of materials other than metal, such as wood behind tiling? +
Yes, Polyfast Running is a universal vinyl ester adhesive designed directly for bandaging and gluing any reinforcements – metal, wood, or other materials that you need to fix under or behind the tiling.
Why is it critical to use masking tape on matte tiles before applying epoxy into the corner? +
Matte tiles are more porous. If epoxy "sinks" into the pores outside the actual corner without protective tape, it is very difficult to remove without leaving visible marks, especially if you don't hit the exact color shade.
What is the recommended working time for finishing a Jolly edge with Fix Top adhesive at standard room temperature? +
With Fix Top adhesive, you have a comfortable 50 minutes at 25 °C. This is plenty of time for careful application, creating a radius, and trimming excess.

Repairs and Aesthetics

Can a chip on the edge of a tile be repaired even if I don't have original pigments or colors? +
Yes. You can use the method of mixing transparent epoxy (e.g., Titanium Clear) with dust obtained by grinding a scrap piece or the back side of the same tile.
How can I use dust from a tile offcut to create a perfect color filler for gres repair? +
Take a tile scrap and use a grinder with a fine diamond (or a 60-grit pad) to grind fine dust from the glaze/body. Mix this dust into clear epoxy. The resulting mixture will have an identical color to the repaired material. (Applies to matte structures)
When is it better to use a special touch-up pen instead of epoxy adhesive for a glaze scratch? +
The pen is ideal for fine, surface "micro-scratches". Just dab the spot with a pen matching the tile color and then wipe with a wet rag – the ink stays in the groove and hides it optically. For deep gouges and chips, epoxy is necessary, ideally Glax Easy.
Is it possible to achieve an invisible chip repair even on high-gloss tiles? +
It's harder with gloss than with matte/semi-gloss. For glossy materials, it's better not to use just dust, but rather a white epoxy base (e.g., Glax Easy or Strong Edge 45) and color it precisely with pigments to achieve the depth of the gloss.
How to create a natural radius (rounding) on a Jolly edge using fingers and epoxy so the edge isn't sharp? +
After applying epoxy to the corner, just run a slightly moistened finger over the edge. This creates a gentle radius that isn't sharp to the touch. It's important to then immediately take a razor blade and trim the excess that was pushed out by the finger pressure.

Tools and Cutting

What should I pay the most attention to when using a water cutting attachment (Proxxon) in terms of safety? +
The main risk is the combination of water and power tools. It is necessary to work with maximum caution, use guards, goggles, and gloves. Ideally, a "spacesuit 🤣" (complete protective suit) to avoid electric shock or injury from flying chips.
How to precisely transfer the dimensions of a Geberit flush button to a tile so the cutout fits to the millimeter? +
First, transfer the lines (centers and edges) from the Geberit module to the surrounding wall. Then place the tile in position (dry fit) and transfer these lines from the walls back onto the face of the tile. This gives you the exact position of the cutout.
What is the recommended procedure for finishing edges after cutting with a diamond blade to prevent micro-cracks? +
After a rough cut with a diamond blade, the edge must always be "treated" – i.e., ground with a finer diamond pad or grinding stone. This removes microscopic glaze chipping that could later lead to the tile cracking.
Why is it recommended to use a razor blade to trim excess after each smoothing of epoxy in a corner? +
During smoothing (with a finger or spatula), epoxy is always partially pushed out to the sides onto the tile surface. If you don't trim these excesses with a razor blade immediately, they create unsightly marks after drying that are very hard to remove from matte surfaces.

Installation and Systems

Can the inspection system for invisible doors (e.g., Tip-on MAXI) be installed directly onto the tile, or is a different sub-structure necessary? +
Yes, the system is designed to be mounted directly onto the tile from the back side. The system is set flush with the tile, and then the pre-cut tile is glued.
How is the installation of a hidden button under the tile handled? +
The hidden button system is conceived so that its installation is just as simple as a classic button on the tile. You can find the required mounting depths for each button type along with the installation manual. In the button category, you can also download waterjet cutout data.
Is there a way to completely hide inspection doors under the tile so only the joint is visible? +
Yes, with systems like the Tip-On inspection system, the joint after cutting can be hidden with silicone or epoxy. This solution is done by applying a greasy substance (ideally Vaseline) to the outer side of the cutout and then applying silicone into the joint. Once the silicone hardens, the door can be removed as it won't stick to the greased side.
Which diamond tools are best for working with extremely hard materials like fireclay or gres? +
For these materials, it is necessary to use premium diamond blades (e.g., J&J Profi Series or Distar brands) and regularly refresh them using an abrasive silicon carbide stone so they don't "glaze over" and lose cutting ability.
